‘Nicole’ is from the Greek meaning ‘victory to the people’.

You can call me Nikki, Nick, Nicholas, Nicola, Nikolai, Nicole-Marie-stop-that!, pain-in-the-ass, you-stubborn-idiot, or by my last name. I will also respond to Michelle, but only if you’re Polish and have a moustache – otherwise, you’d be better off sticking to a recognizable derivative of my given title or any combination of my most charming qualities, as suggested above.

(I do answer to Natalie, as well, but only by accident.)

In the fall, I will be entering my fourth-ish year at Grand Valley State University, where I study English (with emphases in TESOL and linguistics) and Middle East Studies while at the same time nurturing a deep love of emergency services as an EMT-Basic who flirts constantly with the idea of attending fire academy.

I love coffee, books, languages, traveling, zombies, Ireland, martial arts, explosives, hand-washing, Scrabble, music, cats, dancing, theatre, babies, letters, the Middle East, the color green, knitting, Catholicism, thunderstorms, black and white photographs, and dresses with pockets.

…and most especially, I love this guy right here:

I am addicted to Facebook and raspberry Arizona iced tea. I would like to believe that I am “Eccentric, in a quaint way – like dessert spoons.”
